They have not followed through on this idea ... surely the best measure would be to give all the kids proper training in how to use an AR15, so if a madman comes into school they could blow him away (probably vaporise him with that firepower). Could have a nice rack of guns in each classroom ... the kids could decorate them with nice little ponies and flowers and pretty clouds ... each kid can individualise their weapon and it is there for when needed.
How cool would that be!!!?

Of course, one little bastard could get upset and kill off all his classmates ... if really well trained and enough ammo is around he could maybe shoot up a few other classes ... but they would be shooting back and so his attack could be short lived.... but he should get a few of them
