School Shootings: A Good Reason To Lower The Voting Age?
No. I've seen what my generation is all about. Drugs, alcohol, parties and multiple sexual encounters with strangers. Failing at school and university, complaining constantly about life not being fair because they didn't get what they wanted.
The young children are wayyyyyyy too emotional, inexperienced and short sighted to be able to make intelligent long term decisions on legislation. Period.
I'd rather not let people like this vote.
I'd just look into the sheriff's department and their intentional dereliction of duty which allowed multiple children to die. I mean that's what happens in Africa for Christ sake, not the USA. to be fair the USA is accepting more refugees but I thought that the police culture still valued human life. I must be wrong? (I'm being sarcastic. I know the police prefer not to kill civilians directly, too much paperwork).
If I were a student I'd just wear a bulletproof vest to school. They only cost like $300. That's less than a phone. But I guess fashion is more important than staying alive.
Speaking of which I'm considering getting a bulletproof vest in the UK.
Bad Idea. I believe in no drafting of 18 year olds. Vote to 21, and I belong to the rookie class of 18 voters. Old enough to vote but not old enough to drink? There's something wrong there and lowering the drinking age won't cut it for me. Dont get me wrong I support those kids voting out of office those selling them out for blood money. ameriKKKa has created the terrible voting environment that got trump elected.
I disagree. The average voter is a nitwit. I spent 5 years working a poling station and saw some crazy things. Remember when women first got the vote? They voted in temperance which was an awful rule. We don't need more people voting for one specific issue. All voters should be informed on a number of items and those they don't know about they should not vote on.
We have mail-in ballots in this state (and several others). I wonder how many men bullied their spouses into voting a certain way?
