This story is a sad testament to just exactly what AKs do to human bodies.
Anyone that lobbies for AK ownership by civilians is either ignorant to what AKs are, can do, should be used for, or worse, they have nefarious intent.
“In a typical handgun injury… a bullet leaves a laceration through an organ such as the liver. To a radiologist, it appears as a linear, thin, gray bullet track through the organ. [But an organ injured by an AR-15 round] looked like an overripe melon smashed by a sledgehammer, and was bleeding extensively. How could a gunshot wound have caused this much damage?” she writes.

Ak15 not common.
@SeaGreenEyez ak15 came out in 2016! It is used by Russian military. They use 7.62x39. Like the ak47 and sks. Ar15 uses 5.56x45. Or .223.
@SeaGreenEyez you said since 99. That was about 2 decades before the ak15 came out!
@SeaGreenEyez ar15 was designed by eugene stone in 1955. Designed to replace the m14. The article you posted was about the ak15! Look it up!
Ps you are probably talking about an m16, not an ar16. Whatever the fuck that is. It's a variant of the ar15. Then became the m4.
Exactly... assault weapons are not manufactured to scare or to take prisoners... they are manufactured to Destroy anything alive.
Believe it or not, but things like the m-16 are designed to break bones. Yes they will kill, but the theory is if you wound an enemy, you could kill several trying to save them.
