Maybe someone thought there were guns on board and decided to help themselves. It was once shown that if one has a gun in their house and it is known the chances of a break-in increases. I saw a similar sign on the back of a big SUV in the Houston airport. Stupid, stupid people!!!
i've heard the statistics that say that if you keep a gun in your house you are much more likely to suffer a gun related injury but I've never heard that it actually increases the likelihood of a break in. That's pretty counterintutitive. Do you know where this was shown?
@RoboGraham I remember reading it years ago in some national report. It makes perfect sense to me. Before leaving Seattle we got broken into. It was basically a smash and grab but the police did tell us most of the time thieves are looking for guns.
@JackPedigo Seems like a very dangerous way to acquire a fire arm. Some people are desperate enough i suppose.
@RoboGraham When people are out it is not a dangerous time. Some even advertise they have guns as they think it will scare off would-be thieves.
