Impossible. You know how I know that it is impossible? Because if you come for my gun, you will not find it. Only I know where it is. Literally millions of people own guns and most of them will not give them up willingly.

Lets say you magically do somehow remove all the guns. What's to stop people from importing them or manufacturing them on the down low? If you take a look at how things went with alcohol prohibition you will see that people kept drinking anyway. The only difference was that it became more dangerous because there it is not possible to regulate a black market, the criminals were the ones profiting from it, and violence increased because criminal gangs were competing with each other for business and they can only settle their disputes with violence because they are outside the law. It is currently the same with drug prohibition and it will no doubt be the same with your gun prohibition. It will deprive the vast majority of responsible gun owners from their right to bear arms and will mean that only criminals will have guns.

How can you take away the rifle of a guy living in the mountains of Alaska who relies on it to hunt for food?

@GipsyOfNewSpain Not so far fetched I understand crossbows are commonly used for hunting and in some areas all hunting is by crossbow.
