What he is talking about is not only in assault weapons. A little bitty bullet with a shitload of powder behind it. Varmint rifles use the same round and it's twofold, the bullet is traveling at greatly higher speed than a regular round and is designed to explode on impact. I know this because my dad oldman77 hunted varmints on my great grandfathers farm when I was little, and taught me to shoot his 22-250. If you take a milk jug half full of water even at several hundred yards it will explode like a bomb. I saw him miss once and just wound a ground hog and went with him to find it and kill it. I'm not going to give the gory details, but from the front legs all the way back it had no fur, just like it was skinned. Banning assault weapons will not get rid of these types of bullets.

I read this and perhaps a good regulation would be to have gun people looking at go to a hospital and view what happens to others. This could be a stipulation before purchasing guns. Like the pictures we all saw about the harm that tobacco does.
