@Captain_Feelgood This is an advocacy group, not an issue group. As there are some places you will retreat to to find support for your own opinions(your living room, a bar with friends a group chat), this is one of those places that happens to be on the internet. If you were to start a group called "How can we end gun violence without restricting guns?" you'd probably find lots of people willing to debate. I think many people from this group would also join that group and criticizing their willingness to debate there would make sense.

@DJVJ311 That's all good and well, but the fact that this is the internet and there is a '' REPLY'' button means it's okay for anyone, including those that disagree with the premise, to enter the conversation. Again, it's sad that folks here only want to hear from people that agree with them. How do you/they expect to grow, learn, perhaps even persuade someone with a different view to come around to your way of thinking.. It's really baffling.
