Here is a joke I wrote:
So in the middle of a large park, about the size of a football field, with benches surrounding it, facing inward, there is someone being robbed at gunpoint. On one of the benches, there is someone reading a book, but this person is so into his reading that he cannot hear anything going on. However, the cops are nearby.
The robber notices the cops and goes "Oh shit, it's the cops!" and it runs away. The person reading the book hears the word "cops" and goes "oh shit, it's the cops!", and then it leaps over the back of its bench and runs away, and the police officer decides to run after the person who was reading the book.
