I am proud that my parents raised me in a religious home. Though I did not embrace the indoctrination it was with love that they did what they thought was the right thing to do. It is in the nature of most parents to want what is best for their children. That is part of what makes me who I am. A proud agnostic.
That sounds like a very comforting way to be raised. Much better than the fear of god type. My parents never discussed religion with me. I think they were agnostic because of the lack of interest in gods and such. They did ask me to do the bar mitzva thing because my grand parents were still alive and were sensitive about it. So I did it and forgot it. That was the last religious experience in my life.

Posted by Fibonacci1618Saw this, loved it, thought I'd share it..... In truth, I don't like the minority vs Euro Saxon depiction, but the larger point I thought was worth sharing.
