I have a wide taste in my reading. Favorites have always been SciFi & fantasy, but I'll read most anything. Currently reading the 'Legends of the First Empire' fantasy series by Michael J Sullivan which I recommend if you're a fantasy reader. If SciFi is your genre I recommend 'Finder' by Suzanne Palmer.
Thanks for the recommendation. Is Finder a standalone novel or part of a series?
Stand alone
I've read the first two books in the Legends of the First Empire series and really liked them. Michael J. Sullivan's other novels are also good. The Ryria Chronicles takes place in the same world as Legends but a few thousand years later. It's a bit more low-fantasy than Legends. His only sci-fi novel is Hollow World which I really enjoyed.
You might also like the four book series The Revanche Cycle by Craig Schaefer who is one of my favorite authors, especially if you like gritty urban fantasy.
I might give Finder a look. Palmer isn't an author I'm familiar with.
Thanks for the suggestions. Ill check them out.
Finder is like an old fashioned space opera. With a main character named Fergus Fergusan what could go wrong

Posted by ponz111I am getting tired of the science fiction/horror movies combined Walking Dead is ok but the movies which use too much horror turn me off.

Posted by bigpawbulletsI'm impressed with the logic. Although, it does make use of a few unproven assumptions:

Posted by bigpawbulletsStar Trek. TOS was a defining moment in science fiction going mainstream. Glad I was never in a "red shirt" situation in real life.
