Damn you, Science! Ruining my fun with facts!
"But those who believe that Ata is extraterrestrial aren’t changing their minds, regardless of the new scientific revelations."
Any of my fellow genetics geeks care to speculate on which genetic disorders could cause this?
National Geographics take.
Inbreeding, exposure of the mother to toxic agents, or even radioactivity.. there are so many reasons. It's been proven that the fetus is human. I am sure there are many other uncovered inbreeding artifacts out there. I don't know the disease, and whether it exists or not, but wasn't there once an episode of "House" with a patient who was aging way too fast due to short telomeres?
@ScienceBiker Interesting, but I wouldn't rule it out. I'd say the chances of it are much slimmer, but not impossible. Incest is still a very common occurrence.
