I'm an older member (age) and I have one foot in the late 60's and 70's Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd etc etc are and will always be near and dear to me along with some of the ambience of that time, the green stuff and a like minded partner. concerts back then were absolutely wonderful.
Music started for me with what came over the German radio stations. Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven. Then I twisted the dial one day and found AFN Bremerhaven and blues, Country & Western and rock n roll. The blues got a hold of my heart and never let go.
In no time, pirate radio stations, anchored in international waters in the Atlantic started broadcasting Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones. And all the British musicians. Just this afternoon had t explain to my grandson who Rod Stewart and Ron Wood are.
We had the best music, no doubt.
oh we did, we very much did.
my first musical love was classic rock, because of my dad.
Welcome to the group, BoHo! Floyd & Zep are a couple of my faves from that era, too. I'd also add Jackson Brown and the Doobie Brothers.
I have some of these oldies, I like them mucho...
