It's a great book, "How to Have Impossible Conversations" is even better.

Magnabosco took the techniques in this book pro for sure. He's even better in person, so if you get a chance to see him, it's a real treat. He has a workshop at the conventions, and I've been to them everytime he has one. He basically teaches you his different techniques in conversation. In Cincinnati I got to finally ask him a question during his speech, and I stumped him for alittle bit. That was awesome!! You should come to the Phoenix convention in April. I've listened to the audio book version several times. I use the techniques from the book any time I have a religious conversation with believers. I don't know that I've created any atheists, but I've definitely had people analyze their beliefs in a way they never had before.

I've read, & have, the book. Between the precepts there, & the "Street Epistemology" series on YT, I keep working on this approach. It is a definite work in progress. I tend to be more direct & hard charging, so this is work for me, but seems worth it. If you can just plant a seed without triggering all the self-defense mechanisms you have definitely accomplished something, even if you didn't "win" the debate!
