Was amused during this mornings news to hear that the previous Pope ( Benedict ?, who resigned) has broken silence to take a different line on the question of whether catholic priests should be allowed to marry. Do we now have a 2 Pope hierarchy?
Shall we just retreat and let them destroy themselves with their irrational behavior?

The Emeritus Pope Benedict is objecting to the current Pope Francis who is trying to be a reforming pontiff, and who is obviously a pragmatist who realises that they are not attracting enough new priests. Can imagine why celibacy doesn’t seem too appealing in the 21st century! I think less unnatural celibacy forced onto priests the better and that married priests may mean less sexual frustration taken out on innocent children, so am all for reform.
