I agree @Theskeptic. Not being committed to supporting anyone in the voting process and choosing not to participate because you don't feel it matters is probably a slippery slope... you know, like having Trump as POTUS.
And having only the choice between a psycho (Trump) and a warmonger (Clinton) is not a slippery slope?
The candidates on offer were the problem. Not the voter turnout.
Don't blame a public who are disillusioned with a corrupt democratic process.
