I’m listening to the sad news this morning that there has been a terrorist attack in Vienna and three people killed.. Austria has not had any of the major terrorist outrages that other countries have experienced, but one is one too many. I have visited Vienna many times and was there only last year, it’s such a beautiful and elegant city and it’s palaces and classical architecture and music seem so much at odds with the ugliness of hatred and killing. Here is Johann Strauss’s masterpiece The Blue Danube which is synonymous with Vienna. This is an excerpt from the annual Vienna New Year’s Day Concert in 2011.

But maybe M you should put up something from Afghanistan as there was a ghastly tragedy there where some of the flower of youth suffered from ISIS not wanting judges.
