I thought I’d share with you this new exciting English all girl Indie Rock Band who have recently been crowned the BBC Sound of 2024 and have guested in the last few weeks on high profile late night shows on both sides of the Atlantic with their hit single from their debut album Prelude to Ecstasy. On both shows..Graham Norton in the U.K. and Stephen Colbert’s Late Show in USA, the lyrics were changed to omit the “F” word. I’m posting both the original track as well as live performance on Graham Norton…Nothing Matters.

I'd never heard of them before but I love their energy. Thanks for showing both versions. The edited version seemed more stilted but they seemed to get more comfortable with it as they went on. In some ways we haven't gotten very far from the days when "Wham bam thank you, ma'am" could only be played on the FM stations here. I'll have to check out more of their work.

Sounds like "Fernando"........meh.

Yes…I can see the similarity…

What makes it IndieRock? Too repetitive for me but catchy tune.

Music which draws inspiration from a variety of different genres and musical influences…making it hard to pigeonhole into one particular category. It’s short for Independent.
