Because today is my birthday I’m indulging myself and posting music I personally like…and I really do like a-ha which you already know. In 2001 they headed the bill at a benefit concert in Grimstad in the far north of Norway after the small rural community was shocked at the rape & murder of two young local girls. The money raised was donated, along with a large donation from the band, to the local hospital for equipment for the children’s ward in the girls’ names.
Stay on These Roads…and…You’ll Never Get Over Me - a-ha, live.
Happy Birthday!
Thanks very much Glenn!
Happy 80th Marge. Stay safe.
Thank you Richard…I’ll certainly do my best to!
@Marionville I doubt that I'll try to emulate my last birthday celebration , my 50th when I cooked 5 courses for 50 people & celebrated it al fresco for 6 hours in the middle of winter.
For one I doubt that I'll know 80 I want to invite & secondly I'm pushing it to manage to eat 2 courses in 24 hours.
@Marionville it's a pity that I'm blocked from music fans.. I had an interesting story from 1965 & the Stones season in Blackpool.
@FrayedBear Are you blocked ! I’ll have to take a look and see if I can unblock you then….
Voila! …..it’s done…..
That's such a bittersweet association between their song and such a tragic event ... but with a noble gesture.
I couldn't find an A-Ha birthday song (if there is one, I'm sure you know it already) so I chose this corny card to wish you a day filled with love and happiness. I hope it's been fabulous.
Thanks so much Lauren, how very thoughtful of you!
Happy Birthday.
