My mother asked me the other day if I consumed gluten or real butter, because I got manic and she wanted to see if there was a food allergy involved.
I hardly eat bread or real butter. I've grown up on margarine and I use it sparingly unless I cook or bake, which is usually one or twice a week for big meals.
Problem is, my body produces excessive dopamine and there are no foods to reduce that particular chemical. Meds do their thing, but I've got to gauge my direction constantly.
I stopped using margarine years ago. I'm now considering cooking exclusively with coconut oil. It's higher fat than butter but lower in cholesterol and everything else bad.
I use lots of coconut oil, not only for cooking but for skin care.
@HippieChick58 my skin is naturally smooth though ?
@Platosdisciple give it a few years...
i choose to consume the least processed food, so butter it would be for me - if at all.
Raw witchety grubs!
You are supposed to roast them to stop the wriggling. If I remember correctly it is an almond chicken flavour.
And it has been pushed since at least the 1950's. I'm glad that unlike many in the U.K. my mother did not fall for the spin.
