Liquid calories. Yes or No? I make juice at home and I like brothy soups. Though, I limit the quantity of liquid calories, because it simply doesn't make me feel full. You?
I keep it water and protein... maybe a once a month mixed drink...
i'm with @Plainjane in that i have drinks unadulterated by food matter: water, green & herbal tea, no sugar. with a hefty sugar addiction i usually don't have to worry about calorie intake; only 2 years ago when i kept losing weight due to chemo, & then i started to juice my vegies to go easy on my exhausted & confused digestive system.
Vegetarians also have to eat more frequently.
When it comes to eating, I say focus on getting a wide variety of nutrients, and don't worry about so much about calories. If your body has enough nutrients you will not feel the need to eat as much. Liquid or otherwise.
I've tried but I always fall off after a day or two
I prefer German beer over all other carbohydrates
I love freshly squeezed yellow grapefruit - neat or mixed with tonic water.
Watery soups out of vegetables, meat and noodles help me loose weight or at least not put it on as they help to reduce my quantities consumed.
Partner and i have both been poorly for a while after flu jab didnt work this year - so making stews with pulses and lots of veggies etc - (we are vegans) I feel full enough but we do tend to eat a lot, anyway.
@silvereyes Keep it in its all soft and squidgy as I keep it on a low heat all morning - we eat at lunchtime also put garlic and ginger in it .
I've been making my own juices for years and won't go back to mass produced as I have to minimize added sugar. I drink four ounce servings, as a juice, and do not do meal replacement with them. I have not caught a single cold or flu since I started. Could be coincidence, but...
I make an eggnog based shake on gym nights and drink the entire batch around strength training.
I'm mostly water or coffee w/ almond milk at this point. Liquid calories are for special occasions around here.
I like protein shakes.
@silvereyes Me too.
I drink juice straight from the bean...coffee bean....but that's about it...
@silvereyes Funny thing is, I hate it....tastes like funk butt....however, when I was training mma, I learned to give up soda pop, and trade it in for coffee....so I drink coffee like it is medicine...only works if it tastes like feces....haha
