I'll never forget.
I saw one on a utility pole get "zapped" for pecking the wrong thing too well...
I was watching one of these fellas pecking an electric "thing" on a pole through bionoculars....then saw him hit in to a circuit....actually saw him explode a split second before I heard it (it was many hundreds of feet away)....so sad......I think I got in my car and went to see what happened to the poor thing....unreal.
That is so sad and awful.
I have a pair in my area and see them often, they have perforated all of the new power poles that went up 2 years ago, many of which will need to be replaced with metal poles.
