Even though zebra doves are super common, rather plain looking, and non-native they are among my very favorite birds in Hawaii. They have almost no fear of humans and can be coaxed to eat from one's hsnd.

The Canada jay, also gray jay, grey jay, camp robber, or whisky jack, adapt to human activity in their territories and are known to approach humans for food, inspiring a list of colloquial names including "lumberjack", "camp robber", and "venison-hawk". They will sometimes steal the food right as you're eating it.
