I am currently listening to Herb Pattens wonderful cd to accompany his book "How to Play the Gumleaf". Playing songs from Jingle Bells to Frère Jacques then on to Australian bird sounds from the E.Whipbird through the Swan, the Australian Magpie, King Parrot to the Cockatoo. Made my old cat complain even more than the sound of bagpipes. Here he is on the ABC.
memories, we had a gumleaf player at my wedding reception. 1979.
Fantastic.
as a non-believer i don't know about coincidences, but... "imagine", this beautiful song by john lennon, does accompany me now for the past 24 hours here, again & again.
this is a delightful musical talent: playing the gumleaf. thank you, Richard.
Are you sure that is the correct photo? If it is what is it in reference to? Cheers.
