I stopped by a local pond yesterday and found over 100 mallards and several black ducks. It was late in the afternoon, the light was waning and I couldn't get any good pics. I went back today after work, around 4pm. No black ducks and significantly fewer mallards (around 30). But I was excited to see a male pintail duck mixed in with the mallards.
