We got 4 geese last spring and one goose just layed 2 eggs over the past two days . They are american buffs two pairs they each have their own personality and are a lot of fun . I hung a bell with a string tied to it which they love to ring . No one comes to the house unannounced by the geese . Even though I love roast goose I don't think I could eat them . We also have 5 white sultan chickenswhich I have no attachment to .
do you breed or eat?
@Insectra, i would eat the eggs. some people might breed & give the goslings away at an appropriate age, sell them. i only ever had chooks.
@walklightly is that a double entendre?
@FrayedBear, at least quadruple, by my count
@walklightly lmao now it is!
do you eat them?
My nieces feed theirs to their dogs! They can't eat them because the ducks are pets? I hope you enjoy yours!
what!? that sounds half-twisted to me. not being able to eat your pets' eggs, but feed the dogs on them.... hmmmm...
@walklightly I know huh? lol They live a few hours away.... sadly.
