Next thing I tried was a stainless steel mesh cage filled with bird goodies and hanging from a tough string. (but open at the top), I thought there’s no way the Rooks are going to get at it...
It worked OK for while, then I saw this Rook stand above it, grab the string with it’s beak and pull it up bit by bit, trapping the string with one foot each time until it was able eat all the contents like a horse with a nose-bag, so back to square one defeated again,,,
