A single snow goose that's hanging out with a big flock of Canada geese. I wonder where his buddies are?

When I was a child, there used to be a flock of starlings that would pass through during their annual migration and roost for a night in a couple of trees just outside our garden before heading off on the rest of their journey the next morning. One year, a little green parakeet, presumably an escaped pet, came along with them.

I really enjoy your photos. My 3yo does too. 🙂 You rock.

@Insectra I've somehow not spotted your photos until now, but I'm now following you so as not to miss any more! What new lens do you have, incidentally?

@Insectra That's a seriously nice bit of kit! I have an AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II, usually fitted to a D500. I'm not really a birder or a bird aficionado, but I'm interested in nature and all animals - I specialise in shooting cycle sport 🙂
