About five or six weeks ago I posted about a hen Muscovy duck, a beloved pet, with a broken leg who came to the clinic for treatment. After x-rays and surgery she spent all this time with an external fixator on her leg and a soft bandage. Her owners were very attentive and did a great job keeping her quiet and comfortable while she healed. I'm happy to report that, while the cortices of the bone did not line up correctly, the bone has healed well enough for Ducky to have her hardware and bandage removed. A little PT and she should be back to her normal duckie routine.
