Last one for the night. The scarlet tanagers are back in town. And Archer is curious about the camera. So if things look a little blurry, well.....

Archer one of your alpacas?

FrayedBear Level 9 May 10, 2018

@Insectra What exactly is the difference llama to alpaca. They, alpacas, are used extensively round here for sheep protection. Seemingly they can talk to the sheep and when danger is sighted they move to the front of the sheep who form a single file behind them. The dog or fox when it comes in range of the alpaca is savagely beaten or hoofed to death. There are many stupid neighbours who have let their dogs go sheep worrying and have watched their beloved pooch ground into a bloody pulp. The alpacas earn their purchase price many times over in rental fees and still provide an annual wool crop.
