Hello! I'm Jill and I'm a breast cancer survivor, in remission as of July. Even though treatment is over I'm still navigating a lot of things. I'm hoping to meet some people here who understand some of those things ☺
I'm glad you came out the other side of this all right. All of the women on my father's side of the family have had Breast Cancer, except for my sister (keeping fingers crossed!)
I know that when my Aunt Billy went through it all, it took her 2 years before she was feeling a normal energy level again. But she was also 70 years old at the time.
All my best wishes to you. Please let me know if their is anything I can do for you.
Hi Jill a belated welcome. Anything we can do to support you please let us know.
Hello Jill. I was dx with stage 2b triple positive breast cancer in 2012. Nearly 18 months of treatments (chemo, radiation, surgeries, hormonal therapies) but happy to say cancer-free since August 2013.
The the loss of feeling in my toes never returned to normal and I have never been able to eat the same way since ( gastroparesis). But chemo-brain and pain subsided I'd say within a six months of my last round of ACT.
always side effects from cancer treatment-I lost 50 lbs, couldn't eat/still have trouble eating fried foods, rich foods. I have graft vs host disease, schleraderma, and neuropathy-numbness in my hands and feet. Also heart failure. Coping and living again. Supportive partner is wonderbar.
