Which means it had to do with the Manufacturers - not the drug itself.
My sister was on one involved in the last recall - and it's best to get on the recall list that the FDA sends out via email to get the alerts. Than you can check with your pharmacist if there is a recall. (That's faster than having your pharmacist notify you as it turns out).
The drug was recalled yes - but like with any recall - it went bottle by bottle - as is often the case. It was dependent on where it had been produced. The countries of original have all been non-US.
The drug itself is sound.
It was how it was assembled in a factory that created the danger.

There's more to the story than what's at your link. Something about a recall of specific batches of Losarten, which I was also taking. We need to research a bit more deeply.

I am on Losartan now as vs to recalled Valsartan.

@sassygirl3869 I looked it up and Losartan is also implicated. There is a list, can't locate it now, online, that says which manufacturers are recalling. My generic Losartan is not on the list, but I've gone back to triampterene anyway because I was retaining fluid with the losartan.
