Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I don't have a problem with them asking for money for whatever, even if their idea of cancer treatment is asking a certified wizard to expecto patronum and drive cancer cells out of their body like little micro death eaters.
You're right that it's a difficult problem to approach. GoFundMe isn't a great avenue to educate people. I don't think there are any easy answers.

Hmm thats tough. I have limited personal experience with cancer, so I am definitely not an expert but in my experience a lot of people who try these "home cures" have grown a distrust for modern medicine whether it was through some bad experiences with doctors or the treatments they were given haven't worked etc. I have also encountered people who were raised to avoid going to the doctor and use these home cures instead, it's pretty interesting (and sad) to see people like this since I grew up in a complete opposite situation having a nurse as a mother. To address another point in the article I actually agree with go fund me not taking the campaigns down only because the whole point of the website is people are giving money to something they believe in. Even though I think it's ill advised to put money towards something like that, at the end of the day as long as the people know what they're paying for and the money goes to whatever they think its going to it's their prerogative to spend money on whatever they choose (no matter how dumb).
