I'm done with chemo. On to radiation. Can't wait to get over these side effects. How long does it take?
Kudos with chemo ending. Side effects that took a while for me to shake were not being able to eat cooked meat-tasted like metal, loss of appetite - they gave me ensure to gain weight back-3 times a day-I lost 50 lbs. Hair grows back. Medical marijuana will help with nausea. Please PM me if you have specific questions - its different with everyone.
Thanks doll. I too have that metallic taste. I don't eat meat. I have extreme nerve pain. My doctor said it might take up to three years to recover. Of course my hair is gone but it's not concerning me like this other stuff.
@confidentrealm medical cannabis will help with pain-I'm using CBD gummies now for neuropathy and sleep.
@confidentrealm time is going to vary for everyone-I was house bound for 2 or 3 years.
Not knowing the details, no one but your doctors can answer that. But hang in there Pal... and one day it'll all just be a chapter in your history book. Congratulations on completing your chemo!! That's a great feeling!
