My latest quilt has a back story. My granddaughter is named Chloe. That was quickly shortened to Coco, which morphed into Coco Bean. My daughter, her mother, is somewhat of a thrifting fashionista. I was asked to make a quilt for Coco’s big-girl bed (she’s turning three in a couple of weeks). I asked what theme(my mistake!), and the answer was “fashion beans.” Wtf? I mulled it over for a month or more. This is what I came up with. I have since added a black border around the outside edges, and will quilt it and use black satin blanket binding. In case it’s not clear, and it probably isn’t, they are jellybeans with dresses on.
