The crowds have finally died down ( it's been a mad house since the bug started ) and we finally got to take the kayaks out with my offspring for the first time this year. Went out on Greer's Ferry lake and took a swing around Sugarloaf mountain island. Nice flat water day and it was cool enough where they weren't releasing at the generators at the dam 20 miles away , which usually causes one heck of a current pull ( about like riding one of the world's largest toilets being flushed ).perfect day , got in about 6 miles at an easy place and a short hike on tthe island. The boat I'm shooting pics from is a 2-3 seat Old Town kayak l. Very stable in rough water. If you can get the first pick blown up enough , there's some people up on those rocks. In the last shot, my place is near the base of that flattop mountain , about a mile in from shore

beautiful shots. It certainly looks like you (all) had a pleasant day. I had an 8' sit on top that use to paddle around Lake Murphy in southern OK with my dogs. It was wonderful but we had the same issues with the drunks in speedboats.

Posted by CallMeDaveI've never been a big wildflower person, but this is the season for it here in Appalachia. Other people can identify every variety. I'm not there yet.
