Sunday at Mt. Dickerman, WA. A bit over 8 miles round trip and almost 4000 ft elevation gain. Each time I do this hike I swear I'll never do it again. Having trouble walking downstairs today. The magnificent view is worth it though, as is the hope of flowers growing out of the rock on the peak.

4000 foot gain over 4 miles? That's almost a 20% grade. That's insane.

I always look forward to going up the rise and very careful descending.

Posted by CallMeDaveI've never been a big wildflower person, but this is the season for it here in Appalachia. Other people can identify every variety. I'm not there yet.
