Yesterday I built a nesting platform that I hope will house an osprey family this spring. If so, look for more photos around March.
I spliced two 10' poles together and used a shipping crate for the platform.
I worked alone with ropes to hoist it.

The guidelines suggested 12' up and I am 16' up. It may be too close to the dock, but they start nesting early, and even at the peak of summer, the dock doesn't get all that much traffic. Live and learn, I suppose.
