So I tried to hike Stone Mtn today but they were blasting sooo I almost gave up and went home. Nope, I needed some time outside (not working on my yard). We have a greenway which weaves in & around Wilkesboro, so I decided to explore a section - most of the area we 'hiked' is actually a bike trail but the pups loved zooming around the curves.
BlAsting what?
Stone... the mountain.... the trail..... I don't know but the ranger had the main trail flagged off and was standing guard. When I asked about the lower trail he said no way it would be really unsafe because of falling rock, etc. I asked him if he wanted me to go Chase down the 2 ladies & their dog who were heading out when I drove by - I think he almost had a heart attack. He was like no, no, no.... we will get them....
@Heidi68 I sure hope they don't touch the main rock.
@CallMeDave he said just trail stuff. Not sure what that means since I had never been before. It is only about 45 minutes from my house so hopefully I will get back up there soon.
I bet all of you had a good stroll.
I know I did! And they were quite tired when we got home so I believe it was mutual. Plus they got to meet several people (and some kids) which is always good for pups.
@Heidi68 Yes, they are usually very friendly dogs. I'm not a kid and I like them.
@AstralSmoke I meant - they met some kids also - as in, I don't have kids so they don't get little one socialized very often.
@Heidi68 I didn't know if you had kids or not, but I meant what you said. I like dogs a lot and a lot of dogs like me. It's my kid side.

Posted by CallMeDaveI've never been a big wildflower person, but this is the season for it here in Appalachia. Other people can identify every variety. I'm not there yet.
