Went back to the MarbleYard today. A little brisk but pretty too. That middle photo is supposed to show how some of this granite has patterns not unlike what water might have caused. Any geologists in the room?

I spent a few days with my family in Watkins Glen and Letchworth State Parks in New York. Heavy rains shortened our hikes, but luckily we left just hours before flash flooding hit. I will be back!

East Bay Area California- need hiking/backpacking buddies. I am in ok shape for my age but not running marathons so may not be as fast as I was 30 years ago. Good for some gs not so much for others.
