Big Rocky Row hike on the AT in the fog and drizzle today. About 8 miles round-trip. 2600 ft elevation gain. Steep and great colors. I only got to take one photo before my camera battery went out. Leaves are still on trees here. Won't last long.

Hey folks! In a few weeks I’ll be heading to Pennsylvania to backpack that section of the Appalachian trail. I’ve heard horror stories about the rocks so anyone have firsthand experience with that section? How bad are they?

Stunning Sunset Photo - cross posted from main site. I just pulled over and shot it. I couldn't keep driving. It was a must stop and photograph despite the mosquitoes biting as I snapped the shot.

I went for a 12 mile walk on a bike trail yesterday. It is no substitute for hiking a good hiking trail in the woods. No comparing.
