Seattle friends. I love Atlas Obscura. Not only Seattle but they have branches in major cities around the country. Check them out.
Ah, Freeway park. My old office was on the 31st floor of a building overlooking this park. I walked through it many times. At one time there were numerous waterfalls throughout the park. The park was, in one way, more successful than planned. But in another way it created a mess. Cars going in and out of the tunnel along I-5 experienced light and dark which was disorienting and a source of accidents. From high above we used to see cars stalled due to a collision all the time.

Posted by TO_BYI'm remembering Sam for Memorial Day. He died over this last year. A memorable street-performance artist up here. He originally hailed from Tonga. Big spirited. Loved America.
