It's nice to know that "old fashion" skills are not wasting away. I knit, sew & try alot. I make myself a hand quilted christmas tree skirt. I could find one I liked. It has an old fashion train. Anyone out there ever feel that part of them was born in the wrong era. Don't get me wrong I love freedom & rights, modern plumbing.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I think it is not that we were born in the wrong era - it is more that a hundred or so years ago what we like to do was not a choice for many people, it was essential. Now it has become a choice and in some ways that has raised its status. Hand-crafting is seen more as an art now than it used to be.
