Kvetch alert!
I called out sick for the first time on my job Monday, missed a 4-1230am shift. Had a savage vomiting bug - thanks to visiting with my friend and godson...
I don't get sick pay yet - 6 month wait! Unheard of in my experience.
Asked the SM if I could work Saturday to make up the hours. Him "We don't have the payroll for that."
Me "I didn't get paid, isn't it a wash?"
Him "Well someone had to do your job."
Aaaaargh!!! NO they did not. I did it ALL on Tuesday. I am the only person who DOES my job after all.

Of course this puts me in some real money trouble, living on the edge here. Just frustrated as hell. Feel as though I was being punished in a way. No one wants to work the after midnight shift, SM does not work it of course. He should know I'm legit by now. Just a typical retail response he had.
On Indeed right now. Sigh.
