Boys day out 2050
He stood at the gate with his mouth opened in awe
This site and the sounds, absorbing it all
he waited all month to be here today
A man in blue jeans got in his way
the crowd was pushing to eager to wait
he was getting pushed further away from the gate
his dad left him high to get a good view
there was their chair , row 332
A clown approached on the rusty old bike
his nose was all red and a face was too white
He reeked of cheap tobacco and stale beer
The boy trembled as the clown drew near
the show began ,the lights went dim
in the blink of an eye a monster was glaring at him
it reared its giant head as it circled the ring
he saw blood dripping from the mouth of that thing
the boy took cover, safe under his chair
but dad got angry and started to swear
"I a lot of to come to this place
"get up here , have fun ! And don't cover your face "
the boy wished he could unsee what he saw
A bloodthirsty monster with a 2 foot paw,
It's red glowing eyes shot razors of light
The Boy was weak as he shivered with fright
is this why he's here ? Is this monster the show?
Is this a zoo? a circus ? He really didn't know
Amid the chaos the blood and the gore
the crowd was shouting , eager for more
somewhere between four or five
no one knows for certain
The boy wandered off behind the red curtain
Dad sat frozen ,perhaps in a hypnotic state
Knowing in horror he’d find him to late
As he read the warning at the front gate
we are not responsible for the behavior of our beast
please protect your children from being a snack or a feast
