Because we have immunity to the corpse germs, Duhhhhhhhh
I am sorry, I'm a grammar geek, and I can't deal with the mistakes in this meme.
How is eating a dead corpse a good thing other than your desire for what once a breathing living being?
if my body could sustain others until they got to a better situation, provided they didn’t murder me, I wouldn’t mind them cannibalising me. I’d prefer they were respectful in their manner.
But talking about the meat industry? My family have been farmers for generations, I have massive problems with animal mistreatment, and mass production of meat without good husbandry; but am used to rearing animals being looked after and then properly killed and butchered. I do try and be vegan, when I can, but not everyone is removed from the animals or under the illusion that all animals are treated badly on farms. If the meat industry goes under there will be no reason to keep many animals, never mind protect rare breeds, many of which are specialist as it is.
Bacteria isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Clever marketing has convinced us bacteria free is good. So this meme doesn’t work for me, sorry.
Clever marketing simply means to buy what the companies advise you to buy never mind whether it's healthy or not. Clever marketing works for the marketeer not the customer. As people we really need to do our own research and fully question what others tell us. Isn't this how many of us escaped the clutches of religion?
@JackPedigo ahah, well put, I’ll qualify my above statement by saying it’s convinced some of us I don’t believe that all bacteria is bad for a second and know many people would agree, especially anyone who’s looked into the stomach’s processes
@girlwithsmiles Recently read an article about pro-biotics and supplements. It said don't. Supplements only adress a narrow range and the human body has lots and every one's different. It also talked about prebiotics [activia.us.com] Our bodies are so much more complex than some companies would have us believe.
@JackPedigo that’s interesting thanks. After a bad cold I started taking some. The doctor who wrote the book, Gut, didn’t say anything negative about them, but did note that people had their own special make up. It’s a fascinating subject, or I’m a nerd....probably a bit of both
