My misspent youth involved Assembly of churches, going from the middle of nowhere to a small city, and briefly becoming a youth pastor to try to impress the pastor's daughter (once I started running adult Sunday School, they kind of decided I was not compatible with their church).
Ended up going from Olympia, Washington to Boise, Idaho, and have not even been tempted to go to a church service since. Not that it hasn't been offered more than once.
