Originally from Washington, DC, I find myself permanently living away from the East Coast of the USA for really what amounts to the first time in my life. This move is a real challenge for me. I've left the flat lands for the mountainous regions of the country. Whew!

I enjoy meeting people of all different backgrounds and persuasions. I'm an empathic person and able to relate to most in some way.

I taught special education for a number of years and this was far from my only profession. I am now enjoying the freedom that comes from resigning from the working world.

I came here to make some like-minded friends, as I live in the Bible Belt and so many follow the family traditions and question nothing.
