I am a positive, accepting person with a big heart and a strong work ethic. I come from a large, close-knit family and have a daughter and grandchildren I adore. I have lived in the Des Moines area for most of my life (Vegas and AZ for a few years). I'm not looking for someone to take care of me or to complete me--I am already whole. I would, however, like someone with whom to share the journey. The man I'm looking for is strong (think self-assurance, not Charles Atlas , but allows himself to show his softer side when he is with the ones he loves and trusts. He maintains a balance in his life--he works hard, but he also makes time for family and friends. He is accepting of others and has a positive outlook on life and love. I prefer to live in the here and now with an eye to the future, and to leave past relationships in the past. I'm not a hopeless romantic, I'm a hopeful one.
