Mike has been in real estate since 1989 and a broker since 1991. Prior to then, he was in the department store business for 21 years. He is an Ohio native. Mike is fluent in Spanish and has an impressive track record of service to the Hispanic community. Mike is a past president of the Cherokee County Board of Realtors and has served as a board member of the Cherokee County Appraisal District. Mike served for nine years on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross Chapter that serves Cherokee and other area counties. He also serves on the Board of Commissioners of the Jacksonville Housing Authority. He served on the Go Texan Committee, whose objective was to make Jacksonville a certified retirement community for the state of Texas. That objective was attained
He has served on the Blue Ribbon Panel whose objective was to formulate a plan and set of goals to make Jacksonville an appealing town for living as well as for industry. He has also served on a number of Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation committees. He is a past board member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. Mike is known for his expertise in handling commercial transactions and his name is predominant on most of the commercial for sale signs throughout Jacksonville. Mike was voted the 2015 Businessman of the Year for Jacksonville.
