I grew up the youngest son of a southern baptist preacher who was also a traveling evangelist. My parents no shit had a Christian family band and everything. I never bought into the religion my parents forced on me for the first 10 years of my life. Then they got a divorce. My dad disappeared from my life almost all together and my mom mentally checked out on me to the point that I had to live with my big sister for a few years. I can directly link every division and hardship my family has gone through back to religion. I think the brand of religion I was raised on is homophobic, racist, close minded to science, and just generally soul crushing. I harbor strong feelings of resentment towards Christianity based on my experiences
